Peter and Paige Coleman on What to Look Forward to in 2014
“Worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy” (Rev. 19:10b).
The divide between fundamentalist, evangelical Christians and liberal, progressive “Christians” will widen, be characterized by further alienation and mistrust, and mark the end of a mainstream, unified, Biblical Christianity.
Bible-believing Christians who are currently labeled as “evangelicals” and “literalists” will be at the top of the terrorist watch list, hated by the world, mocked, persecuted, segregated, and eventually arrested and jailed for “hate crimes”.
Lukewarm “Christians” will glory in their shame, labeling themselves as meat-eating, strong “Christians” who are “free to sin”, when in fact, they are not followers of Christ at all. Taking occasions to their flesh, they will follow the world, make compromise their king, and worship their own egos.
Increasing persecution of Bible-believing Christians will try their hearts. The strong will remain faithful to God, counting it all joy to be worthy of suffering for the Name of Christ. The weak will be held up by the strong, glorying in their infirmities. They will see God.
The truth will be exchanged for a lie, and spurned. In their irrepressible vanity, the worldly will refuse sound doctrine. They will heap upon themselves teachers who will tell them what they want to hear, deceiving them, and giving them every occasion to serve the interests of their flesh.
Women will rule the men. They will lose their natural affection for their children. Children will grow more and more arrogant, disobedient, and defiant, and will curse and betray their parents. Their father’s hearts will be far from them.
Homosexuality will become prevalent; its adherents will control media and politics, law and finance. Child-bearing will significantly decrease, as population control will be enacted and actualized not only through sexual practises and abortion, but also through extermination, sterilization, and vaccinations.
Many lukewarm “Christians” will become Universalists, embrace one world religion and one world leader in a misguided attempt to be “tolerant” and “non-judgmental”. Because of their compromising spirit and inability to discern good and evil, they will eventually be deceived into worshiping the false prophet and taking the mark of the beast.
Evil will be called good, and good evil. The devil will revel in his power, arrogantly revealing himself through the innumerable followers of the satanic church and through the rulers of the darkness of this world.
In the not-too-far-off future, all the Bible-believing Christians will disappear and the rest of the world, including lukewarm “Christians”, will either believe the lie that aliens (demonic spirits) counted us unworthy to evolve, or recognize the rapture when they see it. Of the latter, many will repent, and turn to Christ in humility and shame, becoming the saints of the final tribulation. Those that throw their lot in with the world will be condemned with the world.
Happy New Year, you say? Think again.
“Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up” (Jas. 4:9-10).
I have yet to read a Bible verse that encourages Christians to enjoy the blissful neglect of their sleepy minds by failing to question, failing to seek, and failing to learn. “Therefore, let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober” (1 Thess. 5:6).
Read your Bible; know what’s coming and recognize the signs when you see them. Do not allow the fulfillment of prophecy to go unnoticed. The media hides it; the Holy Spirit does not.
“But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer” (1 Pet. 4:7).
Thanks for reading. Paige
